Ways to Give
There are many ways to give to The Alliance and to support the thousands of impoverished and abused children that need our advocacy. Help us work towards building a community where all children have safe, stable homes and access to the services they need to thrive.
Monthly Donations
Monthly gifts in any amount help us plan our efforts and program work to help impoverished and abused children access the support they need to thrive.
In Honor | In Memory
Honor a friend, colleague or loved one by making the life of a child safer, healthier and happier. This is a wonderful way to honor a birthday, graduation or special occasion. The recipient will receive a personalized card in the mail stating that a gift in his/her name has been made.
Host A Charity Event
Hold your own private or corporate event to benefit The Alliance for Children's Rights. From store openings, restaurant promotions and company marathons, to baby showers, tea parties and bake sales, thousands of dollars have been raised by individuals and businesses while they make new friends or customers.
Please contact Joelle Warren-Lane j.warren-lane@kids-alliance.org, (213) 368-6010 x 115 to discuss your event!
Stocks, Bonds & Securities
Donating an appreciated asset may offer you tax savings. We believe The Alliance is a great investment, but please consult an attorney or your financial consultant for the type of gift that would work best for you.
Please contact Marlene McGuirt at m.mcguirt@kids-alliance.org, (213) 368-6010 x 108 to discuss donating stocks, bonds & securities to The Alliance.
Royalties & Copyrights
Donating royalties, copyrights and patents increases their worth by bettering the lives of our clients.
ROYALTIES are the right to receive a portion of the income from or share in the profits generated by a copyright, patent, or other similar asset.
COPYRIGHTS are generally transferred to charity via an assignment contract that is subsequently recorded with the United States Copyright Office (ideally within one month of the transfer).
PATENTS are an intangible property right that protects an invention. A patent gives its owner "the right to exclude others from making, using, offering for sale or selling" an invention. A patent generally lasts for 20 years and is not renewable.

Planned Giving
The Alliance’s Guardian Society encourages generous and deeply committed friends to include us in their estate planning to provide for our long-term stability. Include The Alliance as a beneficiary in your will or life insurance policy or consider donating a gift annuity, a gift assignment of qualified retirement plan assets, or other planned gifts.
There is no minimum commitment required for membership in the Guardian Society and members may remain anonymous; all information will be kept strictly confidential.
Please contact Marlene McGuirt at m.mcguirt@kids-alliance.org, (213) 368-6010 x 108 to discuss planned giving for you and your family.
Give Real Estate
In many circumstances, selling real estate is not lucrative for unproductive property due to the many costs involved that outweigh the actual property worth. Because of this, many people hold on to idle real estate for lack of a better alternative, continue paying taxes, maintenance and upkeep costs, state and city fines etc, without ever seeing any return on their investment. Donating real estate to The Alliance may be the right option for you.
Please contact Marlene McGuirt at m.mcguirt@kids-alliance.org, (213) 368-6010 x 108 to discuss donating real estate to The Alliance.
In-Kind Donations
Help The Alliance off-set expenses by donating valuable services like printing, graphic design, video work etc. or goods such as office furniture, working equipment etc.
